Bail US Out!
With all the hiatus going on in regards to the upcoming election and the economic crisis we are currently facing; I can't help but keep my eyes peeled to watching CNN. When I was younger (not much younger), I used to think that CNN was the most boring cable news channel to watch. Who wants to watch news 24/7 of national and international new events? CNN is everywhere! It's the most watched news channel internationally! CNN is broadcasted at the airports, at hospitals, and even some sports bars. Call me a late bloomer or it a personal sign of maturity; but why haven't I tuned in earlier? Perhaps, everyone should be informed. It's really scary to realize what we have ahead of us.
CNN has been pure entertainment (for now) and I love how the media is still very careful on how they present the news. Lately, it doesn't surprise that they are trying to inform the Nation rather than scare the Nation shitless. Yes, the financial institutions are failing. Banks are buying out banks. There is a credit hold/freeze. Large businesses cannot borrow money for operating expenses. The Dow fell 778 point in one day. The S&P 500 lost 7% in one day! It's a total mess!
The bailout plan did not pass today. Now the House will not come revisit the bailout plan until Thursday, which leaves the financial markets in a panic until a decision is made! I understand that there is a Jewish holiday, but with all respect to the Jewish religion; CAN THE US ECONOMY AFFORD TO BE IN LIMBO FOR A FEW DAYS TO OBSERVE A JEWISH HOLIDAY? Action must be taken yesterday!!
This entire bailout is a "Catch 22!" Should we bailout the companies that made poor business decisions at the expense of the taxpayers? Or not bailout the companies and let the American citizens fall into a serious recession? Either decision, we need to do something!
At the same time, I heard an example from a CNN news correspondant say that. "Should the hardworking individual who pays their mortgage on time pay higher taxes to help the foolish individual who put nothing down on their house and cannot afford their mortgage?" Is it fair?
Now is not a good time to buy into any stocks. I highly recommend moving into Bonds or the very safe and secure Treasury Bills.
To sum everything up, something needs to happen. It needs to happen fast! For the sake of People and the entire Country of United States!
Hold on America! It's going to be a rough ride!
