Happy New Year!!!! Welcome 2008
I'm still in shock that it's 2008. Time sures does fly by fast! Our NYE celebration was a blast. We invited friends over for food, games, drinking, and celebration. It was fun!
Tons of great food. T made lion's head soup, and zha jian mein. S made her yummy chicken wings, and I made korean style bbq short ribs. Plus we prepared some frozen dumplings. Our guests deep fried some various goodies like nuggets, tater tots, and shrimp chips. Again, plenty of food to consume before we start our resolutions. Our guest also brought plenty of alcohol and bubbly to add to the celebration.
We played this game called "Apples for Apples." It's a really fast paced and totally hilarious to place. Rather than explain the game, our friends at Wikipedia explain it the best...so click the link. Super fun game to play at parties, and there are also different variations on how you can play the game.
We also played Risk 2210 A.D is a futuristic version of the original board game, "Risk" A game of strategy and lucky dice roll. Hours of fun and also watching the season finale of "Survivor China" at the same time; thanks to Comcast's On-Demand feature.
Watched the Dick Clark's NYE Special. Dick Clark, poor guy, still hanging in there despite his physical appearance from a stoke. I'd rather see Dick Clark than the super annoying Ryan Seacrest. The New Year's Eve countdown isn't New Year's Eve without Dick Clark.
So rather than go on with my list of resolutions....I'll just keep it brief.
1. Work on home projects....(painting my office, building some storage organizers.)
2. Diet and Exercise
3. Stop procrastinating.
4. Start a new hobby or recreational sport.
That's enough for now. Why make a long list of resolutions that you'll break after the first month of January. At least try to make resolutions that are achievable.
Happy New Year and good luck with your resolutions!
