Thanks Johnny!!!

Free stuff and "hand me downs" are always great if you can put them to use. They can also generate more clutter in your household as well. A few weeks ago, my girlfriend (aka "S") brought home a messenger bag that resembles a medium sized Timbuk2 messenger bag that her co-worker Johnny gave to her. Me being a big fan of "orange"; S knew this bag had my name written all over it. In reality, it had a Rare Medium logo on the part that is orange.

We received the bag, with signs of usage, and black dirt/oil spots on it. All it needed was a little TLC. So I brought out the "oil eater" and sprayed the rest of the bag with "Shout." Threw the bag in the washing machine with a few pair of jeans and "Voila!" NEW BAG AGAIN!

Since I already have two Timbuk2 bags in my collection, I had to find a good use for the newly acquired bag. So what did I use it for?
A Bass Trombone Mute Bag!

As you can see, it can hold my Cup Mute, my trombone stand, my plunger mute, and other misc accessories! It's not padded like a traditional mute bag that can offer protection, but serves enough purpose for what I need it for. Just need to be a little bit careful so that I don't put anymore dents or bends in my metal/aluminum mute.

Once again, THANKS JOHNNY!
