I'm a curse to the SF Giants!

As everyone knows, I'm not big on spectator sports. My father wasn't big into sports either, so the tradition just passed down to me. Perhaps the only thing we'll watch is the Superbowl, Baseball's World Series, NBA Finals, the Daytona 500, etc. Only the final games that make world champion history is what we watch. Other than that, we can only name the professional sports stars that we hear in news media....from either good or bad news. Honestly, it's probably better that I don't get into watching sports, because I get really into watching the game. I start screaming, cheering, booing, etc....all the important qualities of being a fan. People have told me, I'm a bit too loud.

Ever since the San Francisco Giants started at their new ballpark, I've yet to see a game there until a few days ago. I've driven by the ballpark, cursed the traffic near the ballpark, but never watched an actual game since the Giants played back at Candlestick Park (now known as Monster Park).

Since the weather has been great and the Giants have been on a nice winning streak....why not take myself out to the ballgame! So I decided to browse through Craigslist in search of some good last minute tickets to purchase. It was just my luck that some posted "FREE GIANTS TICKETS!" The poster stated they thought they could attend, but plans changed. The tickets were for pick up only and were located just one city away from my parent's residence (I was in the area). So I decided what the heck...I have nothing to lose. I emailed the individual and then received a phone call within a few hours. SCORE! FREE TICKETS! Thank you SONYA!

These seats were great! I was expecting bleacher tickets, but they were decent View Reserve tickets towards the right of homeplate. I couldn't have asked for a better day game to watch a game on Wednesday, August 29th, 2007! The weather was BEAUTIFUL! A nice 82 degrees farenheit along with a cool bay breeze. Also, you can't go to an all American Baseball game without having a Hot Dog and a refreshing Coke.

The Giants were on a winning streak series against the Colorado Rockies until I showed up to the game. I'm a curse to the Giants! All the games that I've attended in my lifetime, the Giants alway lose when I'm in presence.

My presence doesn't help Barry!

To top the day off with the continuance of FREE stuff; I was able to ride BART for free because it was a Spare the Air Day.

Despite the 8 to ZERO loss to the Rockies, it was a pleasant day for me. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Beautiful weather, free tickets, free transportation, and a nice smile on my face. For those who don't know, the ballpark offers FREE wifi! Yes, I am one of the geeks who watches the game with my laptop on my lap.

Go Giants!
