My Pets

Mickey the poodle

Mickey is my silver tip miniature poodle.  He was acquired on February 1, 2000 which happens to be the same date as my parent's 25th Silver Wedding anniversary.  It was just coincidence that I got a silver poodle on their silver anniversary.

These photos were taken on March 6, 2004.  Mickey was groomed the same day.

MOCHA THE RABBIT RABBIT WAS SEVERELY ATTACKED BY RACCOONS IN OUR AREA ON JUNE 23, 2004.  HE HAD SERIOUS OPEN WOUNDS TO HIS FACE AND LEGS.  RABBIT RABBIT IS NO LONGER WITH US.  WHEREVER RABBIT RABBIT IS, HE'S AT A BETTER PLACE.

Mocha the Rabbit (the name is derived from it's fur color)

We found Mocha during the evening of June 18, 2003.  As I was taking Mickey out for an evening walk, I saw a black cat chasing what seemed to be a small animal.  As I looked closer, it was a tiny little rabbit.  Upon my disbelief, I ran inside to get a reconfirmation from my mother, and it was definitely a baby rabbit.  The rabbit was not injured from the cat, so we decided to rescue it to safety by taking it inside.  Since we did not have a cage, we had to keep it inside a cardboard box with holes punched through it.  The rabbit did not move.   A few days later we purchased a cage from the local pet store.  Mocha is now lively and happy.  It eats a lot!   We are not sure if the rabbit belongs to someone, or if it's from a wild litter.  The sex of the Mocha is yet to be determined.  Until someone posts signs in our neighborhood that they lost a baby rabbit, we will remain to keep it under our care.
