Sentra Break In

Event happened on evening of Friday, June 28, 2002 or Saturday, June 29, 2002

My 1997 Nissan Sentra XE is my commute/beater car.  It used to have an Autometer 5" monster tachometer with shift light and a Pioneer DEH-P6300 stereo headunit.

Apparently on the evening of Friday, June 28, 2002 or Saturday, June 29, 2002 my car was broken into and the above mentioned items were stolen. 

Whomever broke in the car did a very clean job.  They did not break any glass and all screws were left in a tray.

This is how they broke into my car.  They used a screwdriver and twisted the key tumbler till it unlocked the door.

The crooks had the decency to leave my cupholder on the driver side floor.

The right hand side of the steering column is where my Autometer 5" Monster Tach was mounted.  Notice the torn plastic above the ignition.

Now I learned my lesson.  You can't have anything rice (I meant nice) without having someone tampering with your stuff.  I should have known better, especially when my car has to be parked on the streets.  I guess it's time to reinstall the stock radio and drive without a tachometer.  The tachometer was installed just for fun.
